Meeting people safely
Use reasonable precautions when meeting someone through the site.
- Meet in a public place and tell someone your plans.
- Arrange your own transportation.
- Do not share financial credentials, passwords, identity documents, or exact home access information.
- End the interaction and report it when behavior feels unsafe, coercive, fraudulent, or inappropriate.
Jobs, help, and transactions
Verify identities, organizations, compensation, and terms independently.
Be cautious of advance-fee requests, gift cards, cryptocurrency demands, overpayment schemes, requests to move immediately off-platform, and pressure to reveal sensitive information.
