These guidelines explain how Niles Connect supports open community discussion while keeping the platform safe, lawful, and useful.
Overview
Free Expression and Community Standards
Niles Connect is a privately operated community platform. We support open discussion, differing viewpoints, community participation, and the free exchange of ideas.
Our goal is to allow the broadest range of lawful speech reasonably possible while protecting users, maintaining platform integrity, and fostering constructive community engagement.
Disagreement is welcome. Harassment, threats, doxxing, spam, and unlawful conduct are not.
Eligibility
Adults Only
Niles Connect is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older.
By creating an account, submitting content, or using interactive features, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.
Accounts believed to belong to minors may be restricted, suspended, or removed.

Respect
Keep It Civil
Treat other users with respect. Debate ideas, opinions, policies, and public issues without targeting people for abuse.
Strong opinions are welcome. Personal harassment, intimidation, and repeated targeted attacks are not.
Privacy
Protect Personal Information
Do not post private personal information about others without consent.
This includes home addresses, private phone numbers, personal email addresses, financial information, identification numbers, or similar identifying details.
Not Allowed
Prohibited Content
The following content may be removed and may result in account action:
- Threats of violence or physical harm
- Incitement of criminal activity
- Harassment, stalking, intimidation, or targeted abuse
- Doxxing or publication of private personal information
- Fraud, scams, impersonation, or deceptive conduct
- Spam, automated posting, or platform manipulation
- Pornographic or sexually explicit content
- Knowingly false emergency or safety reports
- Content that violates applicable law
Public Discussion
Criticism and Debate
Discussion of public issues, government actions, public officials, businesses, organizations, and community concerns is generally permitted.
Disagreement alone is not a violation of these guidelines.
Users should avoid knowingly false claims, harassment, or content that violates the rights of others.
Safety Reports

Safety reports are submitted by users and may not be independently verified.
Niles Connect does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of user-submitted safety information.
For emergencies, always contact 911 or the appropriate public safety agency.
Moderation
Review and Enforcement
Niles Connect seeks to moderate as little as reasonably necessary while maintaining a safe, lawful, and useful community platform.
Content may be reviewed, restricted, removed, or otherwise acted upon when necessary to enforce these guidelines, comply with applicable law, protect users, respond to abuse, or maintain platform integrity.
Not every report will result in content removal. Violations may result in content removal, warnings, temporary restrictions, account suspension, or permanent account termination.
These guidelines may be updated as Niles Connect grows and community needs change. Continued use of the platform after updates are published constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
