Clear information should be easy to find and use. Accessibility is an ongoing part of improving this website, and feedback helps identify barriers.
What we are working toward.
These are design goals, rather than a certification of every page or tool.
Readable pages
Clear headings, understandable links, readable text and layouts that adapt to smaller screens.
Usable controls
Keyboard access, visible focus and labels that make forms and navigation easier to understand.
Information in context
Useful descriptions of images, source documents and interactive tools, with alternatives considered where practical.
Some content and tools have limitations.
Imported documents, community submissions, maps and external websites can have accessibility barriers. The current site includes components that still need testing and improvement. This page does not claim full compliance with an accessibility standard.
